Toyota Repair: Toyota pickup has no power below 30 mph, toyota 4x4 pickup, fuel mixture

 Hi Ted,  I have a 1992 Toyota 4x4 pickup,22re engine and just yesterday while driving something happened. After stopping at a stop sign my truck was very slow to get moving. After getting up to around 30mph it seemed to be ok. I could also feel a lot of heat coming from under the middle of my truck. The brake light on the dashboard is also on. Thank you for your time.

It is possible that there may be a problem with the catalytic converter, it may be restricted or something else is causing it to heat up, like a lean fuel mixture, make sure the engine is not causing the problem because it has a misfire or an intake air leak, the brake light is unrelated and may be on because the brake fluid is low.
