Toyota Repair: 2002 avalon, toyota avalon, carbon deposits

Question
2002 TOYOTA AVALON, V-6. 57,000 MILES.
THE PROBLEM WE ARE HAVING IS STARTING THE CAR AND IT IS ONLY INTERMITTENT. IT STARTED ABOUT 6 WEEKS AGO. THE FIRST TIME IT WOULD START AND DIE ABOUT THREE OR FOUR TIMES AND THEN RUN FINE. THEN IT WOULD BE FINE FOR A WEEK OR SO AND DO IT AGAIN. IT DOES IT WHEN THE GAS TANK IS FULL OR LOW.IT DOES IT WHEN IT IS WARM OR FIRST STARTING IN THE MORNING. THIS WEEK IT HAS DONE IT THREE TIMES AND IT TAKES FOUR TO SIX TIMES TO KEEP IT RUNNING AND YOU NEED TO REV IT UP TO GET IT GOING.
SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
THANKS KEITH

Answer
This kind of a common problem with the idle speed control valve located on the throttle body, most of the time this can be taken care of by removing and cleaning the valve and the inside of the throttle body.
The reason this happens is that carbon deposits form in the valve and make it stick intermittently.
