Toyota Repair: LandCruiser Power Window Problem, motor moves, there some sort

Question
The front passenger power window on my 91 LC started acting up a few days ago: sometimes it wouldn't go down or up immedaiately, or the drivers swtich would be needed instead of the passenger to put it down or up, and then yesterday, it would only go down. Now it is in the door and will not come back up at all. How do I know if this is a motor issue or a switch issue? Can you tell by these symptoms I've mentioned or is there some sort of test I can run to find out? Thanks in advance.

Answer
it is more likely to be a problem with the motor, it's not that difficult to remove the door panel, then remove the electrical connector for the motor and  apply 12 volts across the terminals from either a jumper battery or from any wire that has 12 volts, check with a test light to find a wire that has 12 volts, then apply the 12v to one of the terminals and the ground to the other terminal of the motor, see if the motor moves, try reversing the connections, if the motor can not be powered up directly,it is the problem, and needs to be replaced.
