Toyota Repair: 2003 Toyota Camry Vibration, low profile tires, wheel vibration

Question
I just purchased a 2003 Toyota Camry with 40,000 miles. It had a slight vibration in the steering wheel which I assumed was caused by the tires. New tires have been placed on the car and the steering wheel vibration is not quite as bad as before, but still very noticeable.(at least to me)

The steering wheel doesn't really shake, but there's a noticeable vibration you can feel in your hand. This vibration occurs at all speeds but is really noticeable when you reach speeds higher than 60. At that point, you can also feel the vibration in your right leg. The mechanics that drive the car say they can't find anything wrong and seem to think everything is normal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Todd

Answer
If the tires and rims are original equipment or equivalent and not aftermarket I recommend that the tires are balanced again on a computer balancer, not everything is normal, if it was there would be no vibration, if the tires are balanced there may be another mechanical problem, if there are oversize wheels and low profile tires it may be difficult to get them in perfect balance and the tires may have to be broken loose from the rim and rotated 180 degress and balanced again.
