Question-the car has never been wrecked, we had a keyless remote added but i have taken it off and that did not help. We have had it 3 years+.also are there alot of ground points to check? Thank you and my wife thanks you for all your help.------------------------

Question -
the radio and clock cuts of when car put in gear, then it comes back on . also the speedometer and tach comes on and off while driving. Sometimes when we use turn signals and wipers they will die. Every now ands then the engine acts like it dies but still running.dealer said it was main fuse block but replcing that did not help.Computer code says bad egr and vss. Thanks for any help. p.s. it is a 99 4door auto 2wheel drive.

To your knowledge has this vehicle been in an accident, how long have you owned it?
This not something I have a clearcut answer for, it could be a serious problem with the wire harness or a loose ground connection somewhere.
Were there any other repairs done to the car recently and when did this problem first start.
AnswerI hope you can understand that it is very difficult for me to come to any kind of answer with this problem which is extremely unusual and something I have not dealt with in the time of my working on toyota vehicles.
There are many, many ground connections than can cause problems such as this, I am starting to be concerned that the keyless entry system may have caused this, did this happen after it was installed ?
I know you said that it was removed but were all of the components removed? If not there may still be a wire that was tapped into incorrectly and I still need to know when this problem started.
