Toyota Repair: Oil problem, advance autoparts, best guess

Hi Ted, I have a question about oil. My mother loves to drive & drive & drive. She has a 1996 4cyl Camary. She missed about 3 or 4 oil services. The car makes funny screatching noises when started but then they go away. The engine oil has turned into some sort of tar. there was build up of tar or sludge under the fill cap and there where the oil filter screws on. I added more oil and then added some motor flush "gold eagle complete oil system flush" I followed the directions. The oil drained out fine. I added a gallon of advance autoparts oil with the thinking that I was going to have to drain and change the oil several times. I checked the oil level and noticed it was super full. Almost 3 times the marked full level. It was all the way to where the dip stick starts to twist. I thought maybe I added too much oil. I unscrewed the drain plug again and only 2 or 3 little drops came out. I checked the oil level and it was full as before. I stuck my finger in the drain hole to see if something was in the way but nothing was there. Here is where I started to scratch my head. I ran the car for a few seconds and checked the oil again it was still full. I ran the car and pulled the dipstick out and it started shooting oil at me from the dipstick pipe. I turned the car off and took the oil filter off and it had very little oil in it. I unscrewed the fill cap, unscrewed the drain plug and unscrewed the filter. The oil was still full and nothing was comming out. I am thinking that there is so much burnt gunked up oil in there that it sealed everything shut. why wont the oil drain out? and what can I do to fix this crazy problem?

There is a serious problem here, I recommend that you have the oil pan removed to check to see what the problem is, my best guess is that the oil pump pickup screen is totally blocked with sludge and the oil may have solidified in the oil pan, you may be able to save this engine by cleaning the oil pan and the pickup screen, please inform you mom that the engine oil needs to be changed every 3-5000 miles to avoid this kind of problem which can be very expensive to repair.
