Toyota Repair: Power Steering, power steering fluid leak, power steering rack

Question
My 1996 Toyota Corolla power steering made a grinding sound while turning. I found it needed power steering fluid. I had to put maybe two to four ounces of fluid every couple of weeks. Now I have to put the same about maybe twice a week.
Can you elp.

Answer
There is a power steering fluid leak, it is either at the power steering pump or one of the pressure hoses or the power steering rack seals, the pump can be resealed but the power steering rack needs to be replaced if it is leaking.
Check under the car to see if the power steering rack corrugated boots are wet, this is an indication that the seals are leaking.
