Toyota Repair: CRUISE CONTROL, brake fluid reservoir, brake light switch

Hi Ted!

My boss' wife has a 1999 Corolla who's Cruise Contriol Quit working. Which fuse is linked to the Cruise Unit so we can check that before taking it in?

There are a few things you can check and maybe you can fix this yourself.
There are three fuses that affect C/C operation, the 10A gauge fuse, the 15A ECU/IGN fuse, the 15A stop fuse.
The next thing to check is the brake fluid reservoir, make sure it is filled to the "max" mark, low fluid will disable the C/C, check the brake lights, if they are not working, the cruise control will be disabled, if none of the brake lights are working suspect a bad brake light switch but first check all the bulbs, I have seen cases in which all the bulbs were burned out and it was just a matter of replacing them to get the cruise control and the brake lights working again, good luck.
