Toyota Repair: 1980 toyota tercel ignitor, toyota tercel, aftermarket sources

I have a 1980 toyota tercel, vin# AL10170271, and am having no success in finding an ignitor/ignition control module for the car. My question is are there any compatible units available for this part (accell 493200 for example), and what problems might fitting such an alternative part cause?

You may have to contact the toyota dealer parts department or try locating one at a salvage yard, I don't know if any aftermarket un its are avaialable, but I think the complete distributor is available through aftermarket sources such as you local autoparts store.
