Toyota Repair: Break lights, brake light switch, toyota corolla

Question
Ted,
I have a 1999 toyota corolla.
Both breaks lights of my toyota corolla don't work when stepping on the breaks, but the middle (rear window) one does. I checked both light bulbs and they seems to be fine. Would the break light switch be the problem? Since the middle break light works, I'd figure that is not the problem. What else could I check to fix it.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Sam.

Answer
You can rule out the brake light switch, recheck the bulbs again, check the bulb sockets, check to make sure the green and white ground wires are connected and tight, it's possible you are checking the wronb bulbs so I suggest you replace all the bulbs in the tailight lens assemblies.
