Toyota Repair: 90 Corolla Deluxe - wont start, rotor shaft, snowy morning

Question
1990 Corolla Deluxe, sedan, 4 Cyl,5spd standard, 2wd.
It turns over fine, tried starter fluid, wires, cap, rotor. I dont see spark. I would like to check the coil and timing belt. I can't even find the coil?  Could you give me instructions to find and test the coil and timing belt?  I have and use multimeters I just need to know what & how to test.

I started the car on a cold & snowy morning went into the house to let it warm up. When I returned it had stalled. I have never been able to start after that............

Thanks

Answer
The coil is integrated in the distributor, remove the distributor cap, remove the rotor and the coil cover, the coils have a tendency to crack and arc to ground, check it carefully for this, especially the epoxy filled area and underneath.
While the cap is off crank the engine, if the rotor shaft doesn't turn the timing belt is broken.
