Toyota Repair: 1998 Toyota sienna Starter motor, independent place, toyota sienna

Question
I heard a wining that occurred when I started th car and just after the car turned over. I assume the noise was a problem associated with the starter. The car won't turn over now. There appears to be plenty of juice.

Questions:
1. How do I verify that the starter motor is the problem
2. How difficult is it to change the starter motor?

From past experience it does sound like the starter is the problem, it is somewhat difficualt to replace so I would recommend having the toyota dealer do this if possible. if you must have an independent place replace it I recommend using the toyota OEM starter.
