Toyota Repair: dash lights, speedometer cable, dash lights

Question
I have a 1989 toyota pick-up sr5 with 145,000 miles.  Half of the dash lights are out.  I attempted to locate and replace by removing upper dash piece then removing 4 screws on instrument lense. Instrument cluster was loose but clearly held on by something (wiring, speedometer cable?).  I abbandonned project, what am I missing?

Thanks, Bill

Answer
Try pulling the cluster out far enough to disconnect the speedo cable, disconnet it by squeezing the sides of the connector it will release then you need to remove the electrical connectors, if you can't get to the speedo connection from the top you may have to try to get to it from the bottom.
