Toyota Repair: cigarette lighter, power fuse, cigarette lighter

Question
Hi Ted. I have a 1993 Toyota 4x4 deluxe extra cab. I seem to have blown a fuse or someting on my cigarette lighter. I plugged in an electric air pump (to fill up bike tires), and must have overloaded something. The lighter or air pump do not work on my truck anymore. the pump still works on my other vehicle. I checked the fuse underneath on the drivers side and it appears fine. I looked on the other right side fuse box and the one under the engine and could not find anything wrong. What else could it be. Thank you.

Answer
The best way is to check all the fuses in the dash with a test light, pay particular attention to the cig lighter, the power fuse and the large power fuse the one with a clear plastic cover on it, most of the time the only ones that blow when the circuit is overloaded are the cig and the power fuse.
