Toyota Repair: oil pan blues, toyota parts, oil pan

Question
I thought removing the oil pan on my 94 2 wheel v-6 4 runner was going to be easy, but its not. the relay rod is preventing the pan from fully coming down. should i take off the relay rod and damper or remove the motor mount bolts and lift the engine?   oh and the guy before only used gasket sealer on both the baffle plate and the pan which made it leak pretty bad.

Answer
Yes you will need to remove the tie-rod and the damper and lift the engine up by disconnecting the motor mounts.
There is no gasket for the oil pan or the baffle, there is a silicon sealer available from the toyota parts department that I recommend you use, make sure the surfaces are clean and free of all the old sealer.
