Toyota Repair: 98 Rav4 2WD cold starting issue, foot on the gas, camrys

My Rav has always been dealer maintained, has 75,000 miles, and had a tune up 2k miles ago.

Recently, when I start the car in the morning, I have to keep my foot on the gas to manintain an idle. After it's warmed about 1-2 minutes it runs fine. Any suggestions?

This is a common problem on RAV4s and Camrys, they use the same engine.  The problem is the idle speed control valve, it can be removed from the throttle body and cleaned out with good results, have the throttle body removed and the ISC valve cleaned thoroughly this will fix the problem.
