Toyota Repair: 1997 Toyota Previa S/C, jumper wire, toyota previa

Hello..

I have an 1997 Toyota Previa S/C
Automatic with 145,456 mile ont it

My engine light keep stay on..it that any way that i can find out the code with going via delear ?

Also, where do the common oil leak on Previa?

Next to the driver's seat is one of the diagnostic connectors, open the cap and look for terminals TE1 and E1, make a jumper wire and connect it between the terminals, turn the key on and the check engine light will flash and give you a code, count the number of flashes, it will a combination of two numbers, if it flashes two times and then five times it is a code 25 and so on. There may be more than one code.
