Toyota Repair: 1990 toyota supra LSD, limited slip differentials, limited slip differential

Question
I have a 1990 toyota supra that my dad passed down to me. It has transmission and driveshaft problems which i'm not sure if they could be related...the transmission problems probably isn't, but the driveshaft has become mounted the wrong way...It has 2 driveshafts linked together and the linkage is loose and it bangs when I put it in reverse or when i'm driving and let off the pedal. My question is about the limited slip differential...when I turn is makes a lot of chatter on the back end. It gets worse usually as I turn harder. Obviously it's not as bad at high speeds, but that's because I can't turn as hard. My dad always changed the fluid for the differential every 30,000 miles. Is there any fix to this that I can do without taking it in? Could my driveshaft or transmission problem be related to this?

Answer
Try draining the fluid out of the differential, there is an additive for limited slip differentials that may solve this problem, it should be available at any autoparts store or the toyota dealer, fill the diff with 90W gear oil and add the additive, not sure what is going on with the transmission or drive shaft, your'e description of the problem is too vague, let me know if changing the diff fluid helps any and get back to me if you need more help on the other problems.
