Toyota Repair: 95 toyota camry stereo code etc..., dashboard lights, cigarette lighter

Question
I read your advice on several other camry problems that i'm having with stalling and will be changing the distributor cap and rotor and wires.  But the problem I need adressed is with my stereo and dashboard lights.  I read in my Haynes Repair Manual that if I were going to leave the battery disconnected for an extended period, that I needed to have the correct activation codes for the stereo. It is an anti-theft device I think.  However, since my car was having the problems with stalling and not starting, I parked it for a couple of months and the battery died.  I bought a replacement battery but didn't install it until I was ready to try the needed repairs.  Now the stereo wont come on, the A/C controls work but there is no lights on them, and the clock doesnt have a display.  The instrument panel lights work and the cigarette lighter works so if you could tell me how to reprogram my stereo or what else needs to be done, I will appreciate it.
Thank You,
Bryan

Answer
When you turn the stereo on there should be a message on the display, it should say "SEC", if it does, you need to input the security code to get it restarted, if the display is dark there is no power to the radio and there is another problem. Let me know which is the case.
