Toyota Repair: Temp gague moves while driving, temperature gauge, normal temperature

Question
I have a 93 Corolla and when I run the engine for several minutes in the driveway the temperature gauge will get to normal temperature, but the fan will not come on. Then while driving on the highway the temperature will cool down. I checked the radiator and there is no flow at all. The fan does come on when the A/C is on. I have only had this car for 2 weeks.

Thanks for your help

Answer
This is probably a normal condition, the cooling fans will not come on until the engine reaches a certain temperature, if it stays below this temperature the fans are not needed, if there was no circulation the engine would overheat, which it doesn't according to your descripttion, unless the engine overheats there is no problem.
