Toyota Repair: Toyota RAV 4 Air bag light on, airbag warning light, toyota rav 4

Question
Thank you for the advice, I took the car to the Toyota agency and they resolve the problem.

Now, I have another problem: the battery of the same Rav 4 ´99 was removed for some time may be 3 or 4 hours. The airbag warning light on the dash goes off after starting for a few seconds and then turns on and stay. Do you think that the engine needs to be reset?  How do I do that?

Once again, thanks

A few months ago my Rav 4 ´99 (100 000 miles) is turning on the engine light when I´m driving (always about 20 minutes after turn the car on) then the light blinks and the RPM goes up and down, the engine turns off.  I stop the car, wait a few seconds and turn the car on... it works again, sometimes with difficult the first meters, but later every thing is normal.
The injectors are ok, the fuel pump is ok, the mechanic said it could be a sensor.  What could it be?

The only way I can be of any help is for you to lety me know the trouble codes stored in the computer are, you need to have a repair shop hook up a scantool to the computer and get the codes for me, some autoparts stores will help you do this at no charge, I think Autozone still does this so try to locate one, if not just have a shop hook up to the computer and let me know what the codes are.

Answer
There is a way to reset the airbag light but it is too involved for me to go into here, you can either take it to the dealer and they can reset it for you and see what happens or you can give me an email address and I can send you the instructions to do it yourself, sometimes an interrupt in power to the air bag computer can cause this condition. Clearing the trouble code is the first step.
