Toyota Repair: 1992 Camry break lights and reverse lights, ground connections, camry

Question
When I press break pedal on my 1992 Camry the following things happen:
1. "R" for reverse gear light turns on on the dash
2. 92 Camry has 4 break lights in rear (Bulb # 1157). the middle two do NOT light up. If those are already on then those two lights instead of turning on break lights they turn off as soon as I press the break. And
Though there are good bulb in reverse light, when the car is in reverse those lights never turn on

Make absolutely sure that all the correct bulbs are in the sockets, some have two contacts and some have one, if they are mixed up they will cause problems, next make sure all the ground connections on the socket assemblies are tight, it sounds like there is a ground problem.
