Toyota Repair: 3 disc CD auto changer in 1995 Avalon, toyota avalon, auto changer

Question
I have a 1995 Toyota Avalon.
It has a factory installed, disc CD Auto Changer, #08601-00834.
It has a 2 step process of ejecting the magazine.
First, the magazine is pushed out of the changer while sheathed in it's mechanized compartment so as to retreive the CD from the player.
Then it pulls itself back into the unit.
After which the magazine itself is "popped out."
I pressed the EJECT button this morning and it has been jammed open while in the first step. My magazine remains open, out of the changer, in it's compartment while the display reads first "E-02" (disc is drawn out of the magazine but is not set back into it) then "E-01" (Magazine cannot be ejected. Disc is not drawn out or set back into the magazine tray. Disc change operation does not function.)
The only service I can aquire to fix this through my dealer is an independent operator who charges $150. Is this my only option?
Thanks for your time and advice.
Matt

Answer
Since I work at a Toyota dealer this is the only option I would recommend, we do not repair radios we send them to an independent repair facility, toyota doesn't make the cd players, radios, audio systems etc., they are mostly made by Panasonic or TEN.
The only other option is to directly take it to an audio repair shop.
