Toyota Repair: CEL ON: P0715 Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction, turbine speed, sensor circuit

Check Engine light has been On and Off for 2 weeks.  P0715 "Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction" is the Trouble Code but I do not understand the description.  Vehicle is 98 LandCruiser - 72K miles. 2UZ-FE.
What Sensor is causing the problem and what can I do about it?

There is a malfunction with the direct clutch input speed sensor or it's circuit, the computer compares this input signal with the number two speed sensor and so controls the shifting of the transmission, the most likely cause is that the speed sensor is the fault. It is also possible that there is a problem with the control module, there is a test procedure that requires the use of the Toyota hand held tester to see what the problem is, I recommend that you have the toyota dealer diagnose the problem and make a recommendation.
