Toyota Repair: Transmission leak, transmission leak, oil pan

Question
Hi, have a 2002 Tundra, v-8, 4x4 ext cab. only 7300 miles.  The Auto trans drain plug drips slowly. dealer sold me a new plug w/ metal gasket like old one. What is the torque for that so I don't over do it. Is there a better washer to stop the leaking? Thanks. (Toyotas shouldn't leak!

Answer
There is normally no problem with the factory gasket, I don't believe there is a torque spec just tighten it, unless the threads in the oil pan are damaged there should be no problem. If there is, go to the dealer and tell them you want the oil pan replaced under warranty(3yrs/36,000 miles)
