Toyota Repair: How do I replace a drivers side Mirror?, screw out, side mirror

I have taken off the inside small cover and I can see the screws.  I see that I also need to take off the panel that the door handle sits in.  I got the screw out the the handle is not coming out.  I believe that I need to take that out so I can take off the top inside door panel with handle.  HELp please I can't see traffic on my life side.  Someone broke that mirror.  I do have a new mirror waiting you help.  thank you

Without knowing what year and model it is I can only take a guess,try pushing the handle towards the rear it should release and come out part of the way, there is a contrlol rod held on with a plastic clip, remove the clip and the handle will come off all the way.
