Toyota Repair: 2001 Camry will not start, amp alternator, shift lock

Question
I have a 2001 Camry LE and yesterday morning, went out to crank it, put the key in, and had power to inside lights, console etc. turned the key, and everything went out, no power at all, the battery would not boost, and the engine will not turn over, when trying to turn over, would hear a clicking noise, have checked the battery and it is showing a full charge on my battery charger, cleaned the battery connectors, had maintenance on the car almost 5000 miles ago and replaced the spark plugs back in June, and checked the fuses that I could, have a few fuses that are enclosed that I cannot tell if they are bad or not, the car is stuck in park and will not release, is there something else I can check and also how to get it out of Park to possibly have it towed.
Thanks,
Chris

Answer
It sounds like the battery was dead and someone tried to jump start it and hooked the cables up backwards this will blow out the 100 amp alternator fuse and a few others also, there is a small cover in front of the shifter on the console, remove it and poke a small screwdriver or other pointed object in there and push down, this will override the shift lock and you can get it in neutral.
