Toyota Repair: Brake problem, corolla dx, brake rotors

Question
Hi, I have a 1991 Corolla DX with 146,000 miles. I am also a technician for GM. For some time now, I have been having this brake problem and I can't seem to figure out what it is. The problem is that my pedal feels kind of low and springy and it just doesnt feel like it is stopping correctly. I have replaced my rear drums, hardware, and shoes, front brake rotors and pads, master cylinder. The rear brakes are adjusted properly and I have bled the air out of the system. The strange thing is, awhile back, i bled the brakes because I figured that there was some air trapped in the system, and the pedal felt great after that. 3 weeks later, the pedal felt like crap, so i bled the brakes again, and it was good for another couple weeks.  It is driving me crazy, especially since i am a technician myself. Hopefully you can help me out. Thank you in advance.

Answer
Check the front calipers for sticking sliding pins, the calipers are mounted to the bracket with sliding pins on which the caliper moves as the pads wear, remove both of the 14mm bolts and remove the calipers, make sure that the metal tubes move freely and there is no rust on the pins that can cause them to hang up, the only other problem that it might be, but very uncommon, is a problem with the brake booster.
