Toyota Repair: ride and handling, low profile tires, toyota racing development

What can I change out on my 2003 Avalon and still get a smooth ride but improve cornering abilities of the car? The car rides great but corners like an aircraft carrier.

Check with the toyota dealer to see if there any high performance suspension parts availabe from TRD, or go to the Toyota Racing Development website(TRD.com)and by the way the Avalon was not designed with sports car like cornering in mind,mostly for a nice smooth ride, other than going to wider more low profile tires and possibly aftermarket high performance shocks I don't know what else could be done to improve cornering.
