Toyota Repair: Car Jerking, spark plug wires, toyota camry

Question
I have a  1986 Toyota  Camry with manual  transmission.  Lately it  has been jerking  when I  take  off.  It  jerks  5 or  6 times  then  quits.  It  does  this  on most  times when I start  up.  Someone  said  the  gas  filter  needs to  be  changed.  I  looked and can't  find a  gas  filter.  Where is  it?.  Another  said the  egr  valve, another  said  the  coil.  What  do you  think?

Answer
It's an electrical problem, check all the spark plugs and wires and the distributor cap for cracks and yes, there could be a problem with the coil, I would suggest trying a thorough tune up which would include spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor spark plug wires an air filter and fuel filter(it should be located near the air cleaner) I haven't dealt with any early model camrys lately so let me know if you can't find the fuel filter and I'll try looking it up, also try to use Toyota parts and ask the parts guy to show you on the computer where the filter is.
