Toyota Repair: cv axels, toyota corola, cv boots

Question
i am working on a 1990 toyota corola dx 4 dore and i cant git the drivers side axel out of the transmision to replase the cv boots do i have to remove the right side frist to git the drivers side out

Answer
No, there is no connection between the two axles, you can try removing the large cv boot clamp and leave the inner cv joint in the transmission then replace the boots and reinstall the clamp on the inner cv joint, this works for me.
If you still want to remove the complete axle, keep trying but you will need to use two large prybars and have someone rotate the axle while pryin on it, eventually it
will line up just right and pop out.
