Toyota Repair: Corolla wont start, toyota corolla 84, toyota corolla

Question
Hi! I Recently bought a Toyota Corolla -84 1.6 that had stalled on the freeway according to the previous owner. After that it wouldn't start again. I have changed the rotor, distributor cap, control unit, wires and spark plugs. The engine turns but there is no sign of any ignition. I tried to turn the rotor without the cap but it won't move, could it be the coil that is broken? I have gas all the way to the carburetor by the way. Thanks in advance!

Answer
Check the timing belt, remove the distributor cap and crank the engine, see if the rotor moves, if not, the timing belt is broken. If it does rotate check the cam timing the belt may have slipped, check to see if there is spark to the spark plugs,if there is no spark, check or replace the coil.
