Toyota Repair: 1992 Corolla, corolla, coils

I am working on a Corolla and it has no spark. The car has a 2.2 4 cylinder.  I thought I might need to check the ignitor or the ignition system but do not know the test.  Do you have any ideas.

The two most common problems are the distributor and the igniter, with the disributor being the most common, there is really no way to test the ignitor but you can do resistance tests on the coil and the pickup coils in the distributor, check the coil, they have been known to crack.
