Toyota Repair: unlock pass. door with boken lock, vehicle id number, camary

I have 1990 Camary DX.  The power lock will not unlock the passengerside door, it can not be manually unlocked from the inside either. The door remains locked and can not be opened.  Is there a way to get the door open so I can pull the panel off and look at the mechanism inside to decipher the problem.

Removing the door panel without the door open is very difficult and it may get damaged by doing so, before you get too involved contact the toyota dealer, if I remember correctly there was some sort of door lock recall campaign, give the dealer your vehicle id number and have them check for any aopen service campaigns, if none are open I suggest you have the dealer check it out anyway and make a recommendation, most of the time either the door lock actuator is seized or the door lock itself needs to be replaced, neither is an easy job.
