Toyota Repair: truck has a hard time staring, toy trk, alternator output

i have a 1994 toy trk 4cyl 2wd.i bought a new battery and change all the cables that go to the battery.had the starter tested and it was good.but the truck still has a hard time staring and sounds like the stater but it's not.also it seems that when the truck gets hot thats when it stalls on me and i have to push stared.can you plaese help me thank you...carlos

There may be a problem with the charging system, have the alternator output checked, it sounds like the battery is not getting charged by the alternator and it will run until the battery is drained down to where the engine stops running because there is not enough voltage to the ignition system.
