Toyota Repair: 92 Corolla Clutch Switch, worn clutch, clutch pedal

Question
Hi Ted,
Having trouble starting engine, seems to be because the clutch isn't getting depressed far enough.  Is this a worn clutch switch?  I just had the clutch replaced so it's fine.  Thank you for your wonderful service, I appreciate it:)

Answer
Sometimes a floormat can cause this problem, if there is a floor mat remove it and see if that helps, check the clutch pedal where it makes contact with the switch plunger, there should be a small rubber pad where the pedal bracket makes contact with the switch, if it's missing replace it, it's available from the dealer, hope this solves the problem if not try replacing the switch.
