Toyota Repair: Oil leak, car leaks, gasket seal

Question
I have a 1997 Toyota Camry that I purchased used from the Toyota dealer with 42K miles.  I now have 95K on the car.  First, at 70K I needed valve guide seals. There was a sludging recall but my car ws not covered.  I have had all the strutts replaced front and rear.  Now the car has a oil leak.  They replaced the steering rack and oil pan gasket ($1200).  Car leaks oil from the same spot 1 day after repair.  They were pretty sure when they did the repairs that the rear main seal was fine and said they normally do go out.  They seem to think there is another problem or the oil pan gasket seal may be installed incorrectly.  Does all this sound correct.  Also, do all these problems sound common or did I just buy a bad used car.

Answer
You need to take the car back to the shop that did all the repairs and charged you all that money which DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM, if the oil pan is not resealed correctly, (there is no gasket), only a silicone based sealer, if it is not applied in the correct place on the rear of the oil pan it will leak, have them recheck their work, it is also possible that the rear main seal is leaking, tell these incompetent clowns to diagnose the oil leak correctly, because what they did so far didn't take care of your leak and cost you a lot of money.
