Toyota Repair: Toyota camry battery voltage, toyota camry, high iq

My boss decided to jump start his catterpillar excavator with my 97 4 cyclinder toyota camry. my battery is 12 volts and his machine is either 18 or 20 volts. that weekend my battery and my alternator went in my car. He claims it was not from what he did, Keep in mind that he has a V8 toyota truck and he didn't jump start it with that. Also he did this without my permisson, he did it while I was working inside. Do you know for a fact that it is possible for my battery and alternator to die from this, and do you have information you can e-mail me so I can show him?

Well, since your alternator and battery "went" as you said it doesn't take an extremely high IQ to reason that what he did probably had something to do with the demise of your batterey and alternator, so what can yo do?
I have no facts to give you because I have never heard of anybody doing this, so the question becomes, how bad do you want to keep your job? You can confront, but he will probably deny any culpability. I guess you could get a lawyer and sue him for the damages, it'll be tough, or you could approach the boss and try to reason with him to accept some responsibility and help you repair the damage to your car. If that fails, I advise you to keep your car locked so this can't happen again.
