Toyota Repair: starting problem, toyota 4x4, diehard battery

Question
Hi Ted. I have an occasional problem when starting my truck.  Sometimes I turn the key and nothing happens.  I then try it again and it starts.  I am not quite sure what could be causing this.  I have a new Diehard battery in it.  I've cleaned the battery cables, although I only sprayed the outside with battery cleaner and didn't disconnect the cables.  I've had the alternator checked and its good.  Could it be a problem with the starter or ignition switch.  its a 1993 toyota 4x4 x-tra cab truck.  Thank you very much for your help.

Answer
When you turn the key and nothing happens do you hear any clicking sound, if so, the starter is the problem, if there is absolutely no sound, check to see if the headlights turn on, if they don't the battery connections may be the cause, if the headlights come on and are normal brightness the problem could be with the neutral start switch(automatic trans)but this is pretty rare, I still suspect that the starter is the problem.
