I have a 1997 Camri, On intervals the car would buck and cut off, recently the Check Engine Light came on, on checking the Engine one of the Plug wire was off and the Plug was loose, as a result I had the Plugs and Harness changed. For about a week it worked without cutting off, it has since started, the Check Engine Light is still on. I've had no major repairs done since I bought it I bought it in 2000.
Thank You for any Help you can give.

Answer -
I need to know what the diagnostic trouble codes are that cause the engine light to come on before I can be of any help.

Answer
The 1997 Camry uses the OBDII diagnostic system which means that a scantool has to be hooked up to the diagnostic connector to retreive the trouble code, most repair shops should be able to do this as well as the toyota dealer. If there is an Autozone store near you go there they will let you borrow the tool at no charge and help you diagnose the trouble code.
