Toyota Repair: 1992 Toyota Paseo, 5 speed manuel Transmission, manuel transmission, gear pullers

My sons car which has 200,000 miles does not go into 3rd and 4th gear. What I want to do is rebuild the transmission, a father and son project, where can we get a instruction manuel? Or is it better to get a rebuilt transmission?

I recommend that you either get a used or rebuilt transmission, it requires a lot of special tools, gear pullers and a hydraulic press to disassemble this transmission and once it is apart you will find that parts, which are only available from the dealer, are extremely expensive, if you still want to do this get a repair manual from the toyota dealer
