Toyota Repair: Front end noise, toyota tercel, ball joints

Question
I have an '86 Toyota Tercel Wagon 2bbl carburetor 1.5L and have a couple of things that are a concern. When I'm driving and make a curve or turn to the right I hear what sounds like a chain rattling from the front driver's side. As soon as I start to turn the steering wheel back to the left it stops. Also, when I accelerate faster than normal the front end shakes. I thought it had something to do with having the timing belt replaced but I'm not so sure since I've had the cap, rotor and plugs replaced and it still does it. I'm going to change the coil and wires next. The wires are Toyota wires and are 6 years old. Water was sprayed on the wiring without it causing any problems.

Do you think the two problems are front end problems and not engine?

Thanks for your help,

Bill

Answer
the first problem is a bad wheel bearing( right side)
the other problem with the front end shake could be either a bad axle or loose ball joints. or could be related to the wheel bearing problem. i would first replace the wheel bearing and go from there. paul p.
