Toyota Repair: corolla low power, fuel pumps, power 92

Question
"92 corolla with very low power. 160K miles.
runs rough and takes a long time to get up to
speed. no power for even small hills. new plugs
and wires. new fuel filter. regular maintainance.
plugs look normal. can't check the fuel pressure,
'cause we can't find anyone with an adaptor to
fit from our gauge to toyota. do fuel pumps some-
times go weak? thanks for your help.

Answer
I don't think the fuel pump is the problem, unless it was done already, have the engine compression checked, if it's good I suspect a timing problem, possibly a jumped timing belt,if everything checks ok check the catalityc converter they can disintegrate and clog up.
