Toyota Repair: tapping noice on right cornering, chris answer, lug nuts

Question
But the tires are brand new. The dealer put them on before selling the car. Since I ask the original question, I took off the wheel and notice that one of the four lug nuts was missing. The other 3 were still very tight. I remove the wheel, put the tire back on but on different bolts, and replaced the missing nut, however this did not solve the proplem.
New tires can't have flat spots can they?  Any other suggestions? Thank You.

Whenever i am cornering to the right there is thump like tapping sound that is coming from the right side of the car. Can't tell if is front or rear wheel, but gets faster as speed is increased. The noise goes away after corner is complete. 2001 3 speed autom. corolla.

Answer -
Check the tires to see if there are any flat spots on the tread.

Answer
I think I would take the car back to the dealer that sold it to you, in the first place they should not have sold it with any lug nuts missing, I also believe that they have the responsibility to repair whatever is causing the noise, it may even still be under the toyota factory warranty.
