Toyota Repair: fuel, jumper wire, toyota van

I have just bought a 1984 toyota van, and for some reason it's not gettin any fuel. I'm just wondering if you could tell ne where the fuel pump is on it and the best way to test it. I have found something that looks like a fuel pump on the drivers side under the air cleaner. any help would be awsome.

I believe the fuel pump is located inside the gas tank, to test it you can put a jumper wire in the test connector near the air cleaner and turn on the key this will power up the pump and bypass the relays, I don't have any information or diagrams going back this far I recommend that you try to get some sort of repair manual that will identify the check connector and how to jump it.
