Toyota Repair: Electrical Problem, toyota avalon, electrical issues

Question
1995 Toyota Avalon 4 Dr Sedan XLS

My wife got out of the car the other day and the headlights would not go off.  I found out how to "stick and unstick" the headlights. After some investigation, I discovered that, when operating the headlight switch, if placed in the first position, which is the parking lights, this works fine...but when you move the switch to the regular position(not auto), the lights do not come on.  When you move the switch to the auto position, they come on and operate normally.  But when you turn the car off, and try to turn the headlight switch off, to deactivate the headlights, they will not go off. Nothing you do, short of pulling the relay under the hood will make the headlights go off while the car is switched off.  However, if you turn the car ignition on(not ACC), and move the signal lever, yes I said the signal lever, to operate the right(and only the right) signal, the headlights will either flash in sychronism with the signal, or go off completely.  Then you can turn the car off and the headlights don't come back on or anything until you switch the headlight switch to auto again, then you have the same situation.

I thought the switch might be the problem, but I do not understand why the signal would effect the headlights, since these two circuits seem to be isolated from each other in the switch mechanism.

However, I do know that the alarm system operates the headlights and signals whenever activated...which leads me to another problem which I think may be the culprit.  When you lock the doors with the remote, the alarm system is supposed to arm itself.  It does not.  It appears to be malfunctioning.

So is it possible, somehow the alarm system is causing this mess?  How can I disarm the alarm system to further troubleshoot the problem before I go out and spend 150.00 to by another switch just to find out that is not the problem?

I should mention, that there appears to be other electrical issues as well.  The radio/cassette comes on but no sound.  The ABS light stays on, but there appears to be no problem with the brakes.

Answer
Has this car, by any chance, been in an accident?
There are too many things going on here and I don't think I can help with this other than to tell you to spend the diagnostic fee and have a dealer troubleshoot this problem.
It just sounds like a major wiring problem.
You should have the abs system diagnosed for any stored diagnostic trouble codes in the computer, when the abs light comes on the brake system functions as a regular brake system, the abs is disabled.
