Toyota Repair: 89 Toyota Camry, windshield washer pump, toyota camry

Question
I would like to know if it is necessary to fix an oil leak between the the two front wheels that was pointed out to meas being two oil gasket seals leaking. One mechanic would charge $400 to fix it and another said don't bother as the car has 150,000 miles on it. I also wanted to know what would cause the windshield washer solution to not work so that I can't get any solution on the windshield? How can I seal up the trunk well enough so that no water gets in to it without spending a lot of money. Lastly, can the rust around a the left rear wheel cover be removed either by changing a panel or can it be worked on to stop it from getting worse? One mechanic said that he would not want to work o it because it is too close to the gas tank. Also is it worth changing over to R134 refrigerant for air conditoning or should I remain with the R12. I was told that the R12 is colder than R134.

Answer
you need to be more specific about the oil leaks. as for your other questions, the windshield washer pump went bad in the washer fluid tank. as for the body work the trunk could probably use a new seal(dealer only) around the lid. as for the rust i really don't know, i can suggest spray-on undercoating. i'm not a body man though. and i would stay with r-12 as long as it's not leaking. hope i helped
