Toyota Repair: Left front CV Axle, hammer place, cv axle

Question
I have  a 1995 Toyota Camry.  I need to replace the Left front axle seal.  I am having trouble getting the CV axle out.  Is there a special tool from Toyota to pry the axle out?  I have been prying on it with no luck getting it out.

getting out of the tranny i'll assume. use a strong and solid prybar and a hammer. place the prybar against the knurls on the axle/joint parts. and hit the prybar with a hammer it will come out. i do it alot on a lift  and having the advantage of be straight up and doing this and it is still tough. but it does come out. write back to follow up please. paul p.
