Toyota Repair: Power steering flush procedure, camry xle, professional machine

Question
Hi,
I have a '92 Camry XLE V6 with 149K miles.  Lately, the steering seems to be squealing and binding slightly on minor movement of the wheel.  I want to try to avoid replacing the pump or rack if possible, so I thought I would empty the reservoir, and pump and rack and flush and refill with Lucan PS Stop Leak.  I understand the Lucas fluid might renew the seals and extend the life.  What is the best way to evacuate all the old fluid and flush the system before refilling?  Is there a common procedure to do that?

Thanks,
John

Answer
as much as i'd like to say flushing will do the job, it won,t.. all flushing does is removal old fluid and replace it with new fluid. if the fluid is anything but clear it needs to be flushed. as for the noise; it sounds like the pump is going bad. unless the rack is leaking it should be ok. when replacing the power steering pump i would do a power steering flush after installing the new pump....a power steering flush should be done with a professional machine, such as wynns, or BG. good luck, please let me know how u make out.
