Toyota Repair: 88 toyota pickup, toyota 4x4 pickup, throttle position sensor

Question
I now have power to the injectors, but I am not sure if they are being grounded.  How do I check this?  I also found two wires going to one plug coming out at the intake, but I can't find out where the plug goes.  The wires are white/red and white/blue and they go to a black plug.  If you don't know where the plug goes, is there a way I can rewire it to where ever its supposed to go?  I also was wondering where the efi fuse and the efi main relay are located.  Thank you so much for your time, I couldn't do it without you,
Drew

I am 16 and I just swapped out a block in an 88 toyota 4X4 pickup with a 22re.  I now have everything back together, but it isn't running right.  It will always start, but it only runs for about 5-10 seconds.  I think it is only running on the cold-start injection which is why it dies.  I checked the voltage going to the injectors and there is nothing.  I then did the diagnosis by grounding terminals E1 and T and found that I have a code 51.  My manual says it has something to do with the idle control and ECU, but it says nothing of how to fix it.  If you have any ideas it would be very helpful.
Thanks,
Drew

If the truck has a/c make sure the switch is off because it will give the 51 code, which is normal, if not there may be a problem with the throttle position sensor(TPS)with the key on you should see 12 volts on one side of the fuel injector connector the other side is grounded off and on by the computer which sets the injector duration.
Make sure that the ground wires are on and tight at the intake chamber there should be a bunch of brown and black wires connected to one of the bolts where the two intake runners connect.
There could also be a blown fuse, check the EFI fuse.
Let me know what happens.

Answer
You can check the injector pule with a small test light that plugs into the injector connector, it's available at most autoparts stores, after you plug it in it should flash when the engine is cranked, this means that the computer is sending the signal to open and close the injectors.
I think the plug coming from under the intake manifold is the knock sensor connector, the other end comes out of the efi wire harness on the left bank.
